Kogi Guber: Another Six Industrial Unions Agree To Work For Ododo/Joel

… Ododo, Joel will always remember the slogan, “an injury to one is an injury to all”, when elected – Comr. Edoka.

 

Another six industrial Unions in Kogi State have resolved to work for the victory of Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo and Comr. Joel Salifu Oyibo in the forthcoming Governorship election, pointing out that the labour movement has been made proud by their emergence as Candidates of the APC.

This is as Comr. Onuh Edoka, former Kogi State NLC Chairman and Chairman Ododo Joel Labour Support Group insisted that the duo of Comr. Ododo and Joel will always remember the slogan, “an injury to one is an injury to all”, when elected.

The leaders of the industrial Unions and their Members gave their resolve to work for the APC Candidates following a meeting organized by Comr. Onuh Edoka, who doubles as State Chairman, Steering Committee, Ododo/Joel Labour Support Group.

The various leaders of the industrial Unions said the privileged for the labour leaders to have emerge as APC Flagbearer remains a pride to the labour movement and workers.

They expressed optimism that if elected as Governor and Deputy, a new dawn for labour movement and workers would have been opened.

James Agidike of the NUT, said ” As Teachers we have no where to go to. We are sticking to our own. We are happy that our member has been picked as the Deputy Governorship Candidate. We will mobilize our members to vote massively in the election “, said as an insider, Comr. Joel will no doubt improve on the welfare of workers and Teachers in the State if elected.

Also speaking, Idris Ayatul, Shaidu Ali, Ochidi Omale who are leaders of NUT and CSU all agreed that it will be far better for workers with Ododo/ Joel ticket if elected, said they look forward with optimism that better days await Kogi workers.

Addressing the Labour Leaders, Comr. Edoka urged the leaders to seek a new dawn that would improve on the welfare of workers in the State by forming a formidable force that would usher in the new administration.

Comr. Edoka assured that it will be more of advantage for the workers if Labour and workers have their own in government.

Comr. Edoka described the duo of Comr Ododo and Joel as the best offer for the labour movement and workers, said a Charter of demand for LG workers is been put together to be presented to them

” Don’t allow this opportunity slip out of our hands. I’m optimistic but your efforts when it comes to fruition would improve the performances of the Governor and his Deputy and in turn it will market labour.

” Let us all come together, form a formidable force. While we are not saying that we do not have challenge, workers in the State are better off as they have been paid salaries till date.

” We’re assuring you all that one of the reason for this meeting is to also inform you that we have a charter of demand. We’re going to compiling records and the issues affecting the labour movement and workers to be handed over to the incoming administration”.

Comr. Edoka assured that the duo of Ododo and Joel have a better understanding of the working of the system, than to allow it for fresh hands, said they will better the lot of workers in the State.
