Kogi Police Commissioner, CP Miller Holds Strategic Conference to Enhance Security
The Kogi State Police Command has taken a significant step towards enhancing security in the state. Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, held a strategic conference with senior police officers on September 11, 2024, to discuss pressing security challenges and adopt a comprehensive crime prevention approach.
According to the press statement signed by the command PRO, SP William Ovye Aya, and made available to newsmen, CP Dantawaye emphasized the importance of improving the capacity of police officers through ongoing combat operations training.
He also stressed the need for interagency cooperation in tackling security challenges in the state.
The Commissioner urged the public to collaborate with the police by sharing information that can aid in crime prevention, detection, and control.
He emphasized that community participation is key to effective policing in the state.
CP Dantawaye charged area commanders and divisional police officers to engage effectively with the community and hold strategic meetings with critical stakeholders to address major security challenges in their areas.
