KOGI RETIRED CLERKS COMMEND GOV ODODO FOR TACKLING INSECURITY, TIMELY PAYMENT OF SALARIES, PENSIONS

The Kogi State Chapter of Retired Clerks and Deputy Clerks of the Kogi State House of Assembly has commended the Executive Governor of the State, H.E. Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo for his immense proactive actions in tackling the menace of insecurity in the State.

The statement was made by the State Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa-Amoka at a Forum organised by the Council in Lokoja. He said, ” it is a joy to note that His Excellency is nationally acknowledged as a pacesetter in the fight against bandits and terrorists in the country.

He also noted with satisfaction His Excellency ‘s renewed commitment to uplifting the standard of living of the workers and pensioners in the State

through regular and timely payment of salaries and pensions. This action he said, is a reflection of Governor’s continued determination to bequeath an enduring legacy through the trustworthiness and quality services to the people of the State especially in the areas of infrastructural and human capital development.

The Chairman of the Council therefore calls on all citizens of the state irrespective of political, ethnically religious affiliation to join hands together with the Governor to make the State one of the best in the Committee of State in the country.

He however, perssionately appeal to His Excellency to bring to bear his usual compassionate and humane disposition into the plight of pensioners in the State with a view to harmonise their pensions in line with the new minimum wage and offset their gratuities, ” This will actually go a long way in making State a paradigm for others to emulate”.
