Kogi Speaker Congratulates Governor Yahaya Bello on his National Award of Honor of CON, says the honor is well deserved

Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole has congratulated His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor of Kogi state on his conferment of the prestigious Nigeria National Award of Honours of the Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON by President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, described it as a well deserved honor.
He disclosed this in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Olugbemi Femi and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
According to the statement, the speaker said the honour is a confirmation of his painstakingly yet deliberate efforts that have repositioned Kogi State to be one of the best states among comity of states in the country, stressing that his recognition has shut the mouth of his critics.
Kolawole said Governor Yahaya Bello’s performance in the last seven and half years is monumental hence the national award is a testimony of his hard work and contributions to the overall development of not only Kogi state but the nation at large and humanity.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari led administration for recognizing those who have worked tirelessly for the good of the land, stressing that Governor Yahaya Bello has proven to be a genuine leader that wants the best for his people especially in security and other critical sectors of the state economy, stressing that the parting gift is worthwhile.
