KOGI STATE POLICE PRESS RELEASE

KOGI STATE CHIEF JUDGE, HON. JUSTICE J.J. MAJEBI, PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO CP MILLER DANTAWAYE, psc, STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION FOR ENHANCED JUSTICE DELIVERY, COMMENDS PROFESSIONALISM AND TEAM SPIRIT

The Chief Judge of Kogi State, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Josiah J. Majebi, today Friday 27th June, 2025 paid an impactful visit to the Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, at the State Command Headquarters in Lokoja. The visit aimed at strengthening collaboration for enhanced criminal justice delivery in Kogi State.

In his remarks, the Chief Judge expressed his heartfelt appreciation to CP Dantawaye for his exemplary leadership, dedication to duty, and unwavering commitment to peace and order across the state. He noted that the visible impact of CP Dantawaye’s administration is a reflection of strategic leadership, discipline, and professional engagement.

Justice Majebi also extended commendations to the Command’s management team, lauding them for their mutual support to the CP and the collective efforts in ensuring security delivery across the state. He particularly praised the Police Officers attached to the judiciary for demonstrating high levels of professionalism, respect for the rule of law, humanity, and ethical conduct in their line of duty.

In his response, the CP warmly welcome the Chief Judge, describing him as “a father indeed”. He acknowledged the importance of the visit and engagements in sustaining the synergy for smooth justice delivery, which was deeply appreciated and never to be taken for granted. He further recognised the long standing cooperation between the Police and the Judiciary in Kogi State, emphasizing that synergy remains essential for enhanced criminal justice delivery and effective crime management and control. CP further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment in sustaining the existing relationship with the judiciary in order to deepen the rule of law, uphold justice, and serve the people of Kogi State better.

The visit ended on a warm and cordial note, reflecting the mutual respect and institutional collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the Judiciary in Kogi state.
