Kogi West 2027: Karimi Support Group Dismisses ‘Kangaroo Endorsement’ of Aro, Urges Calm Ahead of APC Primaries
The Kogi Progressive Stakehokders Forum has dismissed a recent endorsement of Hon. Samuel Bamidele Aro for the Kogi West Senatorial District ticket in 2027, describing it as a “kangaroo endorsement” by self-serving political appointees.
In a statement titled Dear Progressives the group said the endorsement was issued by some Kogi State government appointees operating under the guise of “Kogi APC Stakeholders.” It noted that this was not the first time such endorsements had been made in favor of a preferred candidate.
“While we have chosen not to dissipate energy responding to the phantom desires of these state appointees, we however wish to state as a matter of fact that the shameless repeated endorsements are obvious signs of a people in grave fear and panic,” the statement read.
The group stressed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has not conducted its primaries for the Kogi West Senatorial seat, and therefore no candidate has emerged.
Consequently, it urged supporters of Sen. Sunday Steve Karimi to remain calm and be of good courage, “trusting only in the unshakable power of God.”
“Relax! God is in control,” the statement concluded.
The statement was signed by Sani Philips, State Coordinator of the group, with the tagline: “@KPSF: let’s get there together!”
