KWSG To Support Provision Of Quality Education, As KWASU Graduate 8,119

Kwara state government says it will continue to support youth development and provision of quality education to ensure better growth and development in the society .
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is also the visitor to the University stated this while speaking at the 2024/2025, 13th Convocation ceremony of the Kwara state University, held in Malete.
Represented by the state commissioner for Tertiary education,Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu , governor AbdulRazaq said the convocation ceremony is a celebration of excellence resistance and hard work in producing quality students.
Governor AbdulRazaq explained that the administration is also committed to it’s efforts towards bringing higher education closer to the people.
He said the state government has put in place a lot of infrastructures to support youth entrepreneurship and better development.
In his address the Chancellor, Kwara state University, Malete, Dr. Johnson Adewumi ,said the university was established as a brand for community development .
He urged the state government to continue to assist the university to enable it move to greater hight.
Dr.Adewumi also called for more collaboration of the private sector and better working relationships of the management to enable the institution develop better.
In his remarks the Pro- chancellor and chairman of council Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali commended the state government for it’s support to the growth and development of the university.
He said the council is committed to ensure that the university continues to provide quality education to the populace.
Professor Ambali also appreciated the students , management and the host community for ensuring peaceful coexistence in the nooks and crannies of the institution.
Earlier in his address the Vice chancellor, Kwara state University ,Malete,
Professor Shaykh -Luqman Jimoh said the university has achieved a lot of successes since the last convocation ceremony.
He said the graduands have been trained both in learning and character to be able to effect changes and contribute to the growth and development of the society.
According to him 82 student are to be awarded first class degree honours out of the 8,119 graduands of Kwara state University .
