LG Polls: Kogi LGA Party Excos Meet with APC Candidates, Praises Engr. Bashir Gegu’s Exemplary Leadership

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Party Executives and Ward Chairmen in Kogi Local Government on Wednesday has said they are solidly behind Hon. Abubakar Bashir Gegu and all APC candidates in Saturday’s Local Government Elections.

The Deputy State Party Chairman, Hon. Salihu Aliyu, while speaking with APC candidates at the party Secretariat in Koton Karfe explained that APC are more prepared to provide leadership that will yield meaningful dividends to the electorates.

He stressed that the APC candidates should not betray the trust reposed on them whilst urging the electorates to elect APC candidates because they are willing, committed and concerned for grassroots development.

Hon. Salihu praised Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu for his exemplary leadership and frontal efforts in facilitating empowerment and development to the local Government and reiterates the party’s commitment to championing his course.

Speaking on behalf of women, the Local Government women leader, Hajara Angulu commended the party’s leadership particularly Engr Bashir Gegu for identifying with women and for giving Zone-B the needed attention in party’s decisions.

She prayed for his continued success and elevation, and urged APC supporters to participate in the election by voting for all APC candidates, chairmen, and councillors.

Earlier, the Local Government party, Hon. Hon Abubakar Onah appealed for peaceful conduct before, during, and after the elections adding that APC is a party that builds, not a destructive party; therefore, we want a peaceful process.

He prayed for divine guidance to ensure APC candidates emerge victorious and lead with fairness, wisdom and effective governance.

Speaking on behalf of the candidates, the chairmanship candidate, Hon. Abdulmalik Musa expressed his gratitude to the party executives and ward chairmen for endorsing their candidacy and assured them that they will not betray the trust and confidence they’ve placed in them.

He thanked Engr. Abubakar Bashir for his exceptional leadership and reaffirmed his commitment to fortifying the party’s structure at the council level.

Other Speakers at the event encourages party members to come out en masse on election day to vote the APC candidates and protect their votes.
