MD, Bank of Industry, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, Wins Financial Institutions Leadership Award

The Managing Director of the Bank of Industry (BOI), Dr. Olasupo Olusi, has emerged as the winner of the Financial Institutions Leadership Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.

This prestigious award is based on the recommendation of a team of experts who conducted an opinion poll, approving his nomination following his outstanding performances and achievements in leading the BOI.

According to a press statement signed by the Publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Dr. Olusi’s exceptional leadership skills have been recognized, particularly his efforts in promoting economic development and supporting businesses in Nigeria.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place today, August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.

He said the event will feature a Red Carpet Ceremony starting at 5 pm, followed by the main program at 6 pm, and a dinner program.

The theme of the event is “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”

The ceremony will bring together guest speakers and key stakeholders from various sectors.

Additionally, the occasion will mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television, aimed at promoting democracy and good governance in Nigeria.

Dr. Olusi’s recognition is a testament to his dedication and expertise in leading the BOI. The award ceremony promises to be a significant event, celebrating excellence and discussing important issues.
