MOY Calls Government Attention to The Deplorable Condition of Kabba-Iyamoye-Omuo Road
_Seeks For Concession Arrangements With Dangote Cement, Kogi State_
Hon Musa Olumayowa Yakubu popularly known as M.O.Y has called the attention of government representatives across boards to the deplorable condition of Kabba-Iyamoye-Omuo Ekiti road. The appeal was made this morning by the dynamic and resouciful politician at Lokoja. He said, “It has become a recurring decimals for the road to become impassable yearly, during the raining season. Most especially, a particular portion at Iyamoye community, Ijumu LGA of the State always cause untold hardship to commuters and members of the community”
“This is a federal road that links the north to the southwest and has been so useful for the movement of people and goods between the two regions. Meanwhile, Iyamoye and other neighbouring communities are agrarians in nature and the yearly situations of the road has always affected movements of their produce to the markets. Same goes for commuters passing through the community. Take for instance, some people spent days along that road in 2022 before getting to their respective destinations”

“I hereby call on government across boards, to as a matter of urgency, come to our aid in fixing the road. I appeal to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Governor Yahaya Bello, Senator Sunday Karimi, Hon Tayo Isaiah, Hon Taofeek Isha and by extension, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, whose trucks always pass and break down on daily basis, at the said potion of the road to please, work together in helping us to fix the road. This can be easily done under a concession arrangements as seen in Obajana road”
If the road is fixed, it will not only ease movements of people and goods between the North and the Southwest but will also, to a large extent, reduce insecurity in the environment as many people have been kidnapped along the road in recent time past”
Iyamoye is an agrarian and boarder community in Kogi State that shares boundaries with Ekiti and Ondo States respectively. Due to it’s strategic location, it serves as a business/marketing hub for the neighboring communities.
