National President of ALGON, Engr. Bello Lawal, to Receive Prestigious Excellent Leadership Award

The Executive Chairman of Kaita Local Government Area of Katsina State and National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Honourable Engineer Bello Lawal, is set to receive a prestigious recognition based on the recommendation of a team of experts who conducted an opinion poll that approved his nomination for the Excellent Leadership Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, and made available to journalists on Sunday morning in Abuja.

The statement described Engr. Lawal as an administrator par excellence, considering his monumental achievements since he took the leadership reins of ALGON in Nigeria.
He noted that the prestigious award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony scheduled to hold on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
The program will commence with a red carpet at 5 pm, followed by the main event at 6 pm, and a dinner program.
The theme of the event is “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”
He said the event will feature guest speakers and key stakeholders from various sectors.
Additionally, the occasion will be used to launch a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television.
