NIPR Kogi Chapter Reveals Names of New Interim Executive Committee with Hon Isah as Chairman
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Kogi State Chapter has taken a major step towards reviving its activities in the state with the appointment of an interim committee. The committee, announced by Interim Chairman Ismaila Isah on February 25, 2026, is tasked with overseeing the chapter’s revival and preparing for elections in March 2026.
The 9-member committee comprises professionals with diverse backgrounds and competencies, including Ismaila Isah as Chairman, Tade Oshaloto as Vice Chairman, Mike Abuh as Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed as Assistant Secretary/ICT Officer, Bishop Aturu as Public Relations Officer, Nwankwo Daniel as Welfare Officer, Yemi Balogun as Treasurer, Khadijat Abubakar as Financial Secretary, and Tairu Momoh as Internal Auditor. The committee also includes three ex-officio members: Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim, Chief Emmanuel Bello, and Chief Austyn Ochu.
According to Isah, the committee’s primary objective is to engage with the NIPR National Executive Council and pave the way for the chapter’s official relaunch, which is expected to coincide with the visit of national council members in March 2026. The revival effort is seen as a significant boost to the state’s professional associations, with the chapter expected to become a reference point for public relations professionals in Kogi State.
Isah urged members to support the interim committee as they work towards restoring the chapter’s status as a leading professional body in the state. The move has been welcomed by professionals in the state, who are eager to see the chapter become a hub for public relations excellence in Kogi State.
