No mercy for Cultists under my watch, Kwara CP warns

Emmanuel kehinde,Ilorin

The new Commissioner of Police in Kwara state, CP  Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, Tuesday, vowed that the police will have no mercy for cultists and other criminal elements in the state under her watch.

She also challenged officers and men of the command to seat tight and be ready for the task of policing the state which she said she would personally lead.

“We are going to embark on patrol starting from myself to checkmate our boys on the road to ensure that they are actually doing the work.
“For those who are cultists, believe me they don’t have any space here because there is not going to be mercy for them. We are not going to spare them, we will start going round any information we have about them were are going to clamp down on them and make our investigation,” she warned.

The new CP handed down the warning during her maiden interactive session with journalists at the command’s headquarters, Ilorin.

She said the command under her watch will place more emphasis on crime prevention, urging members of the public to volunteer useful information that would assist the police in detecting and preventing crimes and to also apprehend criminal minded persons.
