No preparation is in sight for the Okun Governorship in 2027 – Professor Olu Obafemi
A renowned academic, Prof Olu Obafemi, has expressed concerns over the lack of preparation among Okun indigenes to contest Governor in 2027.
The Professor Emeritus made this statement when the leadership of the Okun League of Progressive Elites visited him at his residence in Ilorin, Kwara State.
“No preparation is in sight for the Okun governorship in 2027,” Obafemi stated, emphasizing the need for unity and strategic planning among Okun people.
He said instead Okun people should support the continuity of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo and build a solid foundation for the future.
The Director-General of the group, Hon Alfred Bello, said the erudite professor has a respected voice among the Okun nation, hence their visit to seek his support and add his voice for the overall success of President Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo.
The Okun League of Progressive Elites had visited Obafemi to seek his counsel and support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo’s second term in office.
