November Guber: Kogi Assembly Speaker charges Kogi Women on dedication to Ododo Project
… Says APC agenda is the best for the state
The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has charged women in the state on the need to dedicate themselves to delivering outright victory to the APC candidate in the November 11 gubernatorial election, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.
A press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker and made available to the newsmen quoted the speaker to have stated this during the Flag-off of an Empowerment Programme carried out by Team Bahsir Gegu Women for Ododo/Oyibo 2023 Project in Lokoja.

The Speaker, who was represented at the occasion by his Chief of Staff, Hon Isah Umar Lawal, noted that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, remains the best bet for the people of Kogi State and urged the women to sustain their belief in the party’s candidate in the next gubernatorial election.
He reminded them of how the APC policy in the state has given them national recognition, making them a reference point in Nigeria’s politics as they occupy sensitive political positions under the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
The Speaker noted that the group’s sponsor, Engr Bashiru Gegu, is a man faithful to the ideals of the current administration, which has given APC women the opportunity to make impact in the society, by the virtue of the political offices they oversee.
Rt Hon Yusuf who further stressed the need for them to utilize the items distributed to add value to their lives, promised not to leave them behind in his own empowerment programmes.
The benefitting widows expressed gratitude to the donor for his show of love to them and promised to remain steadfast to the cause of the APC in the state.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of the items to the beneficiaries.
