NSCDC Tanke Division Deepens Community Engagement with Free Medical and Eye Screening Exercise in Ilorin

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Tanke Division, Kwara State Command, at the weekend,13th December, 2025, organized a free medical test and free eye screening exercise for residents of Tanke and its environs in Ilorin.
The health outreach, which was held at the Tanke Divisional Headquarters, formed part of activities marking the 3rd Annual Get-Together programme of the Division. The initiative was aimed at strengthening community relations while promoting public health and wellbeing.
During the exercise, beneficiaries were provided with free medical tests, eye screening, and prescription glasses, as qualified medical personnel were on ground to offer professional medical attention and health guidance. The programme recorded a significant turnout, with participants expressing appreciation for the Division’s commitment to community service.
Speaking during the Awards Presentation and Get-Together Party, the Tanke Divisional Officer, SC Oyinloye Gabriel, expressed appreciation to the State Commandant Dr Umar JG Mohammed for his long-standing support to the Division, noting that such support has greatly contributed to its growth, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
He further stated that the medical outreach and eye screening programme reflects the Corps’ commitment to giving back to the community and improving the health and wellbeing of residents.
As part of the day’s activities, an Awards Presentation and Get-Together Party was held later in the afternoon at the Amazing Grace Event Centre, Tanke, Ilorin, where former Divisional Officers and other deserving officers who made significant contributions to the growth and development of the Division were honored for their exemplary service and dedication.
