ODA DELEGATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS, ENIKANOLAIYE
ABUJA — A high-powered delegation of the Okun Development Association, ODA, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Audu-Rafiu Olusola Enikanolaiye, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.

The visit, according to ODA, was to congratulate Ambassador Enikanolaiye on his appointment and to deepen collaboration on issues affecting Okunland and Nigeria in the diaspora.
Leading the delegation was the ODA President, Ambassador Rotimi Akenson, who was seated sixth from left in the official photograph. Next to him was the host, Ambassador Enikanolaiye.

Other members of the delegation included: Dr David Oluwayomi Atte; Dr Tunde Olusunle; Mrs Bolanle Amupitan Bola’saiye, Abuja Liaison Officer; Hon Dayo Akanmode, Treasurer; Chief Adoga Ibrahim, VP-North; Dr Ayo Moses, Social Secretary; Dr Aina; George Toyin, Lokoja Liaison Officer; Hon Owonuwa Oludare Michael, National Secretary; and Mr Folami Onirinwa.
In one of the photo sessions, ODA President, Ambassador Akenson, alongside renowned scholar and media practitioner, Prof Tunde Olusunle, FANA, presented a congratulatory card to the Minister.
The cross-section of Okun leaders under the umbrella of ODA described the meeting as a “homecoming engagement” with one of the district’s most senior serving diplomats.
Discussions were said to have focused on leveraging Ambassador Enikanolaiye’s office to project Okun interests at the federal and international levels, particularly in foreign direct investment, education exchange, and diaspora matters.
The delegation also used the opportunity to brief the Minister on ODA’s ongoing efforts to unite Okun people across the seven LGAs of Kogi West, irrespective of political and ethnic lines.
Ambassador Enikanolaiye reportedly expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged to work with ODA on initiatives that will promote the welfare and visibility of Okunland within Nigeria’s foreign policy framework.
