This year’s turnout and electrifying reception for the Deputy Governor further reflected the rising political consciousness and commitment of Ofabo people toward sustaining the present administration’s development strides beyond 2027.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Member representing Ofu State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmodu Shehu, the Director General, Kogi State Community Watch and Ancillary Matters, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa, the Executive Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Lawal Musa; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Hon. Eunice Achimugu, the State Coordinator of the AGILE Project, Comrade Abdullahi Tijani Oricha, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Ayoola Abayomi, among other dignitaries.

Their presence collectively affirmed government solidarity and the value the administration places on grassroots engagement.

Speaking passionately, he noted that unity remains a non-negotiable foundation for political stability, especially ahead of the 2027 election cycle.

He noted that he had worked closely with the community in the past and maintained strong relationships with many of its people, expressing his deep affection for the area. His emotional connection visibly acknowledged by the cheering crowd further captured the essence of acceptance his presence enjoyed at the celebration.

Comrade Joel Salifu encouraged the community to continue supporting the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in order to attract more dividends of democracy.

He also pledged to present the community’s requests to the Governor for consideration. The Deputy Governor assured them that continued loyalty will translate into tangible developmental impact is an assurance that resonated with the people’s commitment toward 2027.

Earlier, the National President of the Ofabo Community Development Association, Hon. He also assured the Deputy Governor of the community’s support for the Ododo-led administration and pledged their commitment to ensuring a landslide victory in the 2027 elections.

The Executive Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Lawal Musa, advised the community against deceptive politicians who make false promises and urged them to support the credible and people-focused leadership of Governor Ododo. His remarks reinforced the theme already loud within the gathering that the people have chosen continuity over uncertainty.

In his remarks, the DG, Kogi State Community Watch and Ancillary Matters, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa, warned against collaborating with criminals, stressing that anyone found aiding criminal activities would face the full weight of the law. He linked peace and security to political and community development, reminding youths that political support must go hand-in-hand with law-abiding citizenship.
