Okun United for Ododo/Joel Woo Awoniyi to APC, says act of impunity kills PDP in Kogi
Okun United for Ododo/Joel Support Group has called on the former Deputy Governor of Kogi state, Arc. Abayomi Awoniyi who just resigned from the main opposition, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday not to look elsewhere rather he should join the progressive family to deliver Ododo come November 11 Governorship election.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the Director General, Barr. Alfred Bello on behalf of the leadership of the group and made available to newsmen in Lokoja. It described his exit from the opposition party as a bold step that should be commended.
Barr. Alfred said a caliber of the former Deputy Governor need not remain in the opposition as that will be a disservice to the people of Kogi West and his community as it is only through the machineries of governance that he can truly attract meaningful development to the area. He is urged not to waste time in declaring for the APC.
Bello said the APC needs someone with his wealth of experience and links across the state, so joining the APC will be an added advantage as that will give him the opportunity to negotiate on behalf of his people to facilitate developmental projects to the area.
