President Bola Tinubu Commissions Project in Lokoja, as Governor Usman Ododo Celebrates One year anniversary
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima was in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital to celebrate Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s first anniversary in office.
Vice President Shettima who was the special guest of honour praised Governor Ododo’s achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education and security of lives and property.
Key highlights of the day includes the commissioning of the 9 km Zone 8 to GYB Road and the 5.5 km Zone 8 to Crusher Road, projects designed to enhance connectivity and economic growth in the state.
That was followed by a citizens’ town hall held at the Muhammadu Buhari Square where Governor Ododo showcased his administration’s achievements in areas of infrastructure, healthcare, social welfare and security of lives and property in the last one year while calling on prominent citizens of Kogi State to look back home by investing and attracting investment to the state’s vast solid mineral resources and agricultural value chain, among others.
Prominent Nigerians like Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, former Kogi state Governors, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Captain Idris Wada, APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, members of the National Assembly from Kogi state and friends of the state including major investors in the state attended the citizens’ town hall.
Vice president Shettima reaffirmed the federal government’s support for Kogi’s development, applauding Governor Ododo’s efforts to transform the state.
