‘PRESIDENT TINUBU, GOV. ODODO ON THE RIGHT TRACK ON SECURITY’ – KOGI STATE SECURITY ADVISER, OMODARA

The State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), has said the ongoing improvement in security across Kogi State and the country is a direct result of the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to ensure a peaceful and safe atmosphere.

Omodara stated this on the sidelines of an APC interactive session with stakeholders from the five Local Government Areas of Okunland in Kogi West. The meeting was organized for APC Local Government and State Executives.

According to him, the sustained security clearance being witnessed across the country — including the successful rescue of the Orire kidnapped victims in Oyo State, the rescue operation in Niger State, the rescue in Olowa, Dekina, Kogi State just two weeks ago, and the neutralization of Batijo in Kogi State — is clear evidence that all security agencies are working together to achieve great success.

He noted that the Navy, Army, DSS, Police, and Vigilante groups are all working in synergy because of the pragmatic leadership being provided by both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He stressed that just as kudos are being given to the President, the same should also be given to the Governor.

_“The peace we are beginning to enjoy in Kogi and across the country is not by accident. It is the product of deliberate policies, commitment and the political will of both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo,”_ he told journalists.

Omodara said the interactive meeting was critical to the overall success of the APC in the 2027 general elections. He urged party leaders, stakeholders, and political appointees in Okunland to rally behind the re-election bids of both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo.

_“Time has come for all appointees to show their skills in mobilizing for the project. It will no longer be business as usual,”_ he warned.
_“Any appointee who refuses to identify with this project will be penalized. It is time for everyone to show their true colors. Anyone who wants to be with us should show it, and anyone who doesn’t should also come out, instead of playing hide and seek.”_

He stressed the need for unity among party leaders and members, noting that internal cohesion is key to delivering victory for the APC in 2027.

Describing the meeting as timely, Omodara promised to sustain engagement with leaders and stakeholders in Kogi West to strengthen the party ahead of the polls.

_“Henceforth, such meetings will continue to be regular for leaders, stakeholders and members to interact for the growth and progress of the party,”_ he said.

_“We will continue to work with other leaders in Kogi West to unite the party and ensure we have a great outing in 2027.”_

The interactive session, convened by the Kogi West Zonal Chairman, had in attendance APC chairmen, executives, and key stakeholders from Kabba-Bunu, Ijumu, Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopa-Muro LGAs.
