PRESS RELEASE

Re: Clarification on the Consensus Candidate for the Position of National Youth Leader, PDP

The Youth Alliance Movement of PDP Kogi State wants to address a post by Aruwa Ismail that spreads false information about the consensus arrangement for the position of National Youth Leader.

We urge the public and party members to ignore this misinformation.

After thorough discussions, 14 members of the State Working Committee, led by the State Chairman, out of 14 members of the state working committee 10 agreed to zone the position of National Youth Leader to Kogi West Senatorial District. Following this decision, the 10 members of the State Working Committee chose Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim as the consensus candidate.

To clarify, the only consensus candidate recognized and recommended by the State Working Committee is Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim. Any other names circulated outside this decision are not known to the party at the state level and should not be considered.

We call on the National Working Committee (NWC) to uphold and support the Kogi State Working Committee’s decision in recognizing Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim as the true consensus candidate for the position of National Youth Leader.

The office of the National Youth Leader should be held by a dedicated and loyal party member who has consistently supported the PDP. Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim embodies these qualities.

Signed,
Comr. Jamiu Suleiman
