Registration Opens for 2025 ECL Quiz Competition

The Education Champions League (ECL), a premier academic initiative designed to inspire young minds, promote literacy, and foster intellectual competition among secondary school students, has announced the opening of registration for the 2025 edition of its annual quiz competition.

This was contained in a release posted on its website.

According to the release, “The highly anticipated Education Champions League (ECL) Quiz Competition 2025 is now open for registration! This prestigious annual event, known for promoting academic excellence, critical thinking, and teamwork, invites secondary schools across Rivers State to participate in a thrilling intellectual contest.

“Following the remarkable success of the 2024 edition, where Federal Government Girls College, Abuloma emerged as champions, the 2025 competition promises to be more exciting, with bigger challenges, new opportunities, and attractive prizes for top-performing schools.

“Schools can register their teams on the official ECL https://educationchamp.org/registration/

“Registration runs from February 1st – 21st 2025. As part of the process, schools must submit the names and recent photographs of their student representatives. Teams can make substitutions later if there are verifiable and compelling reasons.”

The release noted that the quiz competition allows secondary school students to showcase their academic excellence, encourages teamwork

“Why Participate? Showcase Academic Excellence: A platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and analytical skills.

“Encourage Teamwork: Students will develop leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

“Gain Recognition: Schools have the chance to win prizes and establish themselves as centres of academic excellence.”

The Prizes from the 2024 Edition include:

OB LULU BRIGGS PRIZE (₦10 million): Federal Government Girls College, Abuloma, Rivers State

Sponsor: High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs

CLAUDE AKE PRIZE (₦5 million): Seacrest Preparatory School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Sponsor: Engr Adokiye Tombomieye

BOMA EREKOSIMA PRIZE (₦2.5 million): Aladumo International School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Sponsor: Torlowei Nig Limited

₦1.5 million: Enitonna High School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Sponsors: High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs & Engr Adokiye Tombomieye

The release further stated that “Since its inception, the competition has grown into one of the most recognized academic contests in Nigeria, empowering students and schools to strive for excellence.”
