Retired NEPA Manager, Olusegun Abiodun Clinches Ekinrin-Adde Service Award

A retired Manager of National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), Mr. Olusegun Abiodun has made the list of Ekinrin-Adde indigenes to be conferred with Distinguished Community Development Service Award.

The conferment of the award was disclosed in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), Pastor Emmanuel Ajibola Ogungbuyi.

The statement noted that the awardee is one of the eminent sons of the community who has made landmark contributions to community development.

Born in Ilaga, Ohi-Adde, Ekinrin-Adde, in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Mr. Abiodun hails from the respected Ihinmikaye lineage of the Ayeniko Royal Dynasty. He is the son of the late Pa Julius Abiodun Ihinmikaye and the late Mama Alice Malomo Abiodun (Iya Wemimo).

He received his early education at St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Bacita, and Government Secondary School, Malete-Ilorin. He later obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Kogi State University, Anyigba.

Mr. Abiodun began his career at the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), where he rose through the ranks to become Manager, Finance and Accounts. After retiring from public service, he continued his career in financial administration where he served as National Treasurer of World Mission Agency, Garden of Faith, Kaduna.

Since 2010, he has worked as an Accountant with Dinya International Construction Company, Abuja, an indigenous consortium with headquarters in Paris, France, where he has contributed to financial operations and organizational management.

The awardee has remained actively involved in community development initiatives. He is a member of Ekinrin-Adde Development Association (EADA), Abuja Branch, where he once served as Vice Chairman II, playing an active role in strengthening unity and development in the association.

He is married to Mrs. Olufunke Caroline Abiodun, and their union is blessed with children.

The award will be formally presented during the Awards-Night, where several other notable indigenes will also be honoured for their service to the community.
