RT HON LEKE ABEJIDE THANKS YAGBA TRADITIONAL RULERS FOR ASIWAJU TITLE
Greetings once again to the good people of Yagba Federal Constituency, and let me congratulate us on reaching the end of the year. Merry Christmas in arrears and happy New Year.
I am immensely grateful to all the Traditional Rulers in Yagbaland for the conferment and presentation of certificate to me yesterday the 29th December,2025 as ASIWAJU OF YAGBALAND. This great honour being the first of its kind in the whole of Yagba is a privilege I hold dear to my heart and shall not take it for granted in my lifetime by the grace of Almighty God. My respect for the revered Traditional stools in Yagba Federal Constituency shall be on the increase and through God’s mercy upon me I will not relent in ensuring the welfare of all the Traditional Rulers paramount in my heart is constantly attended to. As I promised you in secret, action and results will show in the near future for the whole World to see.

Let me thank God for the success of yesterday’s security meeting and also all the Traditional Rulers led by all the Chairmen of Traditional Councils of Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro Local Government Areas: HRM OBA MOSES ETOMBI, HRM OBA AYODELE IRUKERA(Represented by HRM OBA J.J FALOPE), and HRM OBA MUYIWA IBEUN respectively. The presence of the Executive Chairmen of the three Local Government Areas that made up Yagba Federal Constituency viz: Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro in persons of Hon Dare Joshua(Venza), Hon Tosin Olokun(ALGON Chairman), and Hon Ademola Bello respectively, and the Kogi State House of Assembly Members of Yagba East and Mopamuro Local Government Areas in persons of Hon Emmanuel Obaro and Hon Olawumi respectively added great significance and colour to our resolve to tackle the insecurity headlong.
I want to call our attention to the fact that the insurgents already know the heat coming upon them and they will want to fight back but rest assured in less than three months they will be no more in our land. Also more importantly we should know that with the bombardment ongoing in the Northwest they will want to run towards our side but thank God for this timely intervention of Lion Squad that will give it to them fire for fire to send them back to where they belong.
This is a call to all well-meaning true sons and daughters of Yagba to support this cause to wipe out the bandits and kidnappers from our territory with finance and other resources at your disposal.
Finally, this is a stern warning to the black ship among us who may want to act as informant to the bandits or collaborators to the bandits that it is OPERATION NO MERCY so once you are identified to be either the informant or supplier of materials to them then you will have yourself to blame as both Federal Government under our able President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and our workaholic Governor Usman Ododo have resolved to deal decisively with terrorists. My profound appreciation goes to both Leaders for their support to ensure our Security outfit is now a success in stamping out bandits, terrorists, and kidnappers from our land.
