Sallah Homage: Governor Ododo Commends Prince Olatunji’s Humanitarian Gestures

Governor Usman Ododo has commended the founder of Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF) and Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, Prince Olatunji Olusoji, for his humanitarian and philanthropic gestures in Kogi State.
The governor gave the commendation during the Sallah homage paid to him by Prince Olatunji and his entourage.
He described Prince Olatunji as a great blessing to the state, considering his level of operation as a businessman and his commitment to identifying with the downtrodden in society.
Governor Ododo noted that Kogi State is blessed with many great personalities, but Prince Olatunji stands out for his humility and commitment to his community.
He acknowledged Prince Olatunji’s good works in providing support to vulnerable groups, especially in education, health, social amenities, and general support.
He urged Prince Olatunji to show interest in investing in the extraction of mineral resources in the state, which would provide jobs and economic development for both the people and government.
He appealed to Prince Olatunji to continue his good works for the people and humanity, noting that his efforts are helping the administration achieve greater development for the state.
Earlier, in his introduction of Prince Olatunji Olusoji, the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, eulogized Governor Usman Ododo for his humility and down-to-earth style of leadership, noting that the governor granted the team an audience despite his tight schedule.
He stated that Kogi State is blessed to have Prince Olatunji Olusoji as one of its sons, stressing that upon discovering Prince Olatunji’s humanitarian services to the people, he advised him to partner with the state government, which is one of the reasons for their visit during the Sallah celebration
Also speaking at the visit, Prince Olatunji expressed his deep appreciation for the governor’s magnanimity in granting him an audience with his people.
He pointed out that he knew how busy governors are, but was surprised that Governor Ododo still made time to receive him.
He said that leaders like Governor Usman Ododo are rare to come by, pointing out that the state is blessed to have him as leader at this time in its existence.
Prince Olatunji further noted that he had come to pay Sallah homage to the leader of the state and also to encourage him on the great work he is doing for the state, stressing that he can’t come to the state without seeing the governor.
He said that he too comes from a humble background, which has informed his determination to reach out to the people, having experienced similar situations in the past.
He noted that his foundation (PROOF) is doing a lot and would continue to do so for the people in the areas of education, health, social amenities, and general support.
He stressed that he is ready to partner with the administration to do more for the people, enabling them to live a life of dignity.
Prince Olatunji was also in Ayere to felicitate with his people, urging them to embrace peace and unity for the progress of the community.
He commended the Alayere of Ayere, Oba Olumideji, for effectively leading the community in the right direction and appealed to the people to cooperate with his leadership.
Dignitaries in his entourage included a Warri chief, Ebami Oritsejeyetumara Bishop; his personal assistant, Mr. James Oludare; his cousin, Mr. Henry Belushi; his friend, Mr. Ahmed Idah; Babatunde Okute Yusuf; and members of PROOF from Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu, as well as Team Prince Yomikola.
