Securing the lives and properties of all Kogites is a must-do task for Gov. Ododo’s Administration – Commander Omodara (rtd)
Governor Usman Ododo has declared his unwavering determination and commitment in securing the lives and properties of all Kogites irrespective of tribes, religion and political affiliations, pointing out that despite the pressure being received by the state from the onslaught on the criminals in the northwest zone, the security architecture in the state is intact to block any aggression.
Governor Ododo gave the assurance during the celebration of the maiden edition of Mopa Adegbederin Day held yesterday at ESSMO play ground through his representative, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) who represented him at the occasion in Mopa.
He commended Oba Muyiwa Ibeun for his pragmatic leadership that deemed it necessary to put such a program together in order to promote peace, unity and development of the community. He added that the event is usually held in a hall but was taken to the open field for all sons and daughters of Mopa land to participate and showcase their rich cultural heritage to the world.
He assured that the current administration will continue to do its best in checking the security lapses that may arise from time to time, stressing that security is everyone’s business, urging the people to provide credible intelligence that will assist the government and security agencies to root out crimes and criminalities in the state.
He also noted that, Governor Ododo has assured that full scale work will commence in early 2025 in the Kogi State College of Education Technical, Mopa, and pointed out that the college will be repositioned to compete favourably among the comity of colleges of education technical in the country.
He called on all sons and daughters of Mopa to continue to give their monarch, Oba Ibeun the needed support and cooperation for the community to regain its lost glory of the days of late Pa Awoniyi and Daniyan who put the name of Mopa on the global map, stressing that the world is waiting for those world class companies to return to Mopa and start operating again like before.
He further said the vision of Oba Ibeun is in line with Governor Ododo’s of empowering the people to have a peaceful and prosperous state, saying the maiden edition of the Mopa Adegbederin Day says all that the community is in safe hands under the leadership of the monarch, with the support of caliber of men like Oba Clarence Olafemi, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, Pa Sam Akande and a host of others that have served in various capacities in both the state and national level.
He also used the occasion to congratulate the community for witnessing the maiden edition of the all inclusive day celebration that had brought the people together.
