Sen. Karimi to launch 100 million Naira Yearly Students Bursary, sets up Committee as 1,000 Kogi West Students to benefit
The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi is set to launch a 100 million naira yearly bursary award for students of Kogi West Senatorial District origin that are in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
According to information made available to our National Assembly reporter confirmed that a Committee for the implementation of the project has been set up to function out ways and means to capture beneficiaries across the seven local government of the district seamlessly.
He said the seven local government of the district will be represented on the committee and it will be people with proven integrity, seasoned administrators, educationists and technocrats that will deliver on the assignment.
This according to him, will allow the committee to come up with fair and transparent modalities through which prospective beneficiaries would emerge without bias or any form of sentiment whatsoever.
He said each student will receive One Hundred Thousand Naira (#100,000) as bursary award, stressing that not less than one thousand Kogi West Students in public tertiary institutions will benefit in this yearly laudable initiative that is solely financed by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi.
