Supporters Celebrate Muhammed Nasir Alfa as Grassroots Mobiliser, Community Security Advocate
Supporters of Hon. Muhammed Nasir Alfa, popularly known as Amuda Dedeba, have described him as a grassroots-oriented leader whose activities in community security, mobilisation and public engagement continue to attract recognition among the people.
The commendation was contained in a statement issued by Edison Atumeyi Edime, a political activist and youth advocate, who said Alfa’s leadership profile has become closely associated with community security initiatives and grassroots political mobilisation.
According to Edime, leadership goes beyond occupying a political or administrative position, stressing that effective leadership requires service, sacrifice, strategic organisation and measurable impact at the grassroots.
He said Alfa, in his capacity as Director-General on Community Watch and Auxiliaries Matters, has become associated with efforts aimed at promoting safer communities and strengthening coordination around community-based security structures.

The statement noted that grassroots structures remain important to political participation and democratic engagement, particularly at the ward and community levels.
“From community mobilisation to political organisation, from security advocacy to grassroots engagement,” Edime said, Alfa’s supporters see him as “a mobiliser, a bridge-builder and a voice for community interests.”
The political activist listed strategic leadership, grassroots mobilisation, community engagement, security-conscious leadership, political organisation, public service and advocacy for safer communities among the qualities supporters associate with Alfa.
Edime further maintained that the strength of political organisation is often built from the grassroots upward, making sustained engagement with communities an important component of democratic mobilisation.
He said Alfa’s recognition by his supporters was not merely about his title, but about the leadership values they associate with his activities, including accessibility, commitment, mobilisation and community consciousness.
The statement also portrayed Amuda Dedeba as an emerging name in the grassroots political equation, with supporters projecting him as a leader capable of strengthening the connection between political structures and the communities they seek to represent.
Edime concluded by celebrating Alfa’s contribution to grassroots leadership and community mobilisation, describing him as “a leader with vision, a man of action and a voice from the grassroots.”
