SWEEN HAILS FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO DEVELOPMENTAL STRIDES, SOLICITS FOR SUPPORT.

A Social-political and economic group domicile in Suleja local Government Area of Niger State, under the auspices of Suleja Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Network (SWEEN), has Commended the executive Governor of Niger State, Farmer Governor Umar Bago for his developmental strides in the State.
According to the group, the Governor in Less than two years in office has demonstrated sterling leadership qualities never witnessed in the state since the return to civil rule, saying that, the Farmer Governor’s leadership has brought about multidimensional transformation in the State.

The group disclosed this to our Correspondent at a reception held at the the Emir of Zauzau Suleja’s Palace, to receive Farmer Governor Umar Bago, Saturday January 18th, 2024, who was on a working visit to Suleja local Government Area of Niger State, a visit that attracted massive turnout of people , including tens of Support groups to welcome the Governor.
The Vice president of the Suleja Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Network, Maryam Ademu, said the Governor’s Visit to Suleja was a pointer to the fact that, he loves and recognizes all the Citizens of the State irespective of tribal and other considerations, adding that they were happy and overwhelmingly exited to welcome the Governor who has impacted immensely in the socio economic live of the people of Suleja local Government Area and the state in general.
Also Speaking, the financial Secretary of the Suleja Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Network (SWEEN), Hajiya Hasfat Ahmad Abba Tukur, said the group has come to identify with the performing farmer Governor Umar Bago, who has demonstrated poposeful and people’s oriented leadership, which has translated to infrastructural developments and socio-economic transformation.
She pointed out that as a group that was Committed to the economic Empowerment of Women in Suleja local Government Area of Niger State, their major focus was on young Girls, widows and the women generally to ensure that they become self-reliant and economically independent.
She appealed to the Niger State Governor to support them financially and other wise, so that they could reach out to more women in their bid to eradicate extreme poverty amongst Women in Suleja local Government Area.
Also Speaking, one of the leaders of the group, Hajiya Binta Kullama said the people’s love for Farmer Governor Umar Bago transcends political and religious Considerations, explaining further that, she was a member of the people’s Democratic party (PDP), but that the Governor’s transformational leadership endeared her and that she was left with no other option than to support the Governor.
She further expressed the group’s resolve towards supporting all the policies and programs of the Farmer Governor Bago led Government in the State beyond 2027.
Earlier, the Vice president of the group, Maryam Ademu explained that, the group trains Women in various skills like, Cathering services, Tailoring, Decorations and other skills to enable them become self-reliant. She said Considering the role women plays in the family ,the Society in general, there was a compelling need for them to be economically empowered, and that the surest way to achieving it was through Skill and entrepreneurship.
