Tasuwab Homes and Properties Takes the Lead in Driving Nigeria’s Agrotourism, Housing, and Economic Development

Ahiaba Douglas,Abuja

With the Federal Government of Nigeria’s commitment to achieving food security, economic diversification, tourism development, and addressing the nation’s housing deficit, Tasuwab Homes and Properties Limited has taken a bold step in supporting these critical national priorities as a strong and reliable partner.

As the pioneer partner of the World Agrotourism Organization (WAO), an organization championing the development of Nigeria’s agrotourism sector and promoting agricultural development and food security, Tasuwab Homes and Properties has positioned itself at the forefront of this transformative vision. The partnership between WAO and Tasuwab Homes and Properties is highly strategic, considering the company’s established reputation for excellence, integrity, and affordability in Nigeria’s real estate sector.

Over the years, Tasuwab Homes and Properties has remained committed to providing affordable housing for Nigerians regardless of their socio-economic status, a policy that aligns closely with the Federal Government’s vision of ensuring decent and affordable housing for all citizens. This shared commitment has made the company a strategic partner in implementing people-oriented government policies.

A major outcome of this partnership is the establishment of the Nigeria International Agrotourism Village, a flagship project conceived by the World Agrotourism Organization. Located at Karchi, south of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the project is being implemented through a collaboration involving the World Agrotourism Organization, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, and Tasuwab Homes and Properties Limited.

The Nigeria International Agrotourism Village represents a bold national vision designed to transform agriculture, tourism, housing, and economic development. The project aims to harness Nigeria’s enormous agrotourism potential, strengthen food security, create employment opportunities, stimulate investment, and contribute significantly to addressing the country’s housing needs.

The selection of Tasuwab Homes and Properties Limited as the lead development partner was not by coincidence. Although the participation of other real estate firms and developers is welcomed, the choice reflects the confidence and trust the company has earned within less than six years of operation through its unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, innovation, and affordability.

Speaking to members of the media, the Group Managing Director of Tasuwab Homes and Properties Limited, Tahir Suleiman Abdulwahab, described the Nigeria International Agrotourism Village as a project that will redefine the relationship between agriculture, tourism, and sustainable development in Nigeria.

According to him, the project will become more than a massive construction site; it will evolve into a thriving ecosystem where agriculture, education, business, technology, culture, and international partnerships converge to create opportunities for present and future generations.

He explained that the International Agrotourism Village will feature smart farms alongside world-class agrotourism facilities. Fresh agricultural produce will be processed through modern value chains, while the village will also serve as a centre for skills acquisition, entrepreneurship development, innovation, and research.

“The project will empower young entrepreneurs with practical skills, provide innovators with platforms to develop solutions to complex agricultural and economic challenges, attract both local and international investors, open new markets, and foster sustainable economic growth for surrounding communities,” he said.

The Nigeria International Agrotourism Village is expected to stand as a landmark national project that showcases Nigeria’s vast agricultural potential while promoting tourism, investment, job creation, food security, and affordable housing. Through this visionary partnership, Tasuwab Homes and Properties Limited continues to demonstrate its commitment to nation-building and sustainable development, reinforcing its position as one of Nigeria’s most trusted and forward-looking real estate companies.
