Barrister Victor Apaila Pays Glowing Tribute to Late Chief (Mrs.) Ajuma Theresa Ogar

As people of goodwill and concerned individuals from Kogi State, particularly Kogi East, continue to commiserate with the Ogar family of Ibaji Local Government Area over the passing of the family matriarch, Chief (Mrs.) Ajuma Theresa Ogar, tributes have continued to pour in from eminent personalities.
The funeral ceremony for the repose of her soul was held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in Idah, Kogi State, following a funeral Mass at St. Francis Catholic Church, Idah.

Among those who paid glowing tribute was Abuja-based legal practitioner, Barrister Victor Apaila, who joined hundreds of mourners in celebrating the remarkable life and legacy of the deceased.
In a message made available to our correspondent, Barrister Apaila described the late Chief Ajuma Theresa Ogar as an outstanding community leader and a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and development. He noted that the massive turnout of mourners at her funeral was a clear testament to the positive impact she made during her lifetime.
He further praised the deceased for her unwavering commitment to community service, describing her as a highly respected female traditional title holder in the Igala Kingdom who consistently mobilized fellow female chiefs and women across the community toward initiatives that promoted peace, unity, and development.
Barrister Apaila, who also identified with the bereaved family as a member, prayed Almighty God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Chief (Mrs.) Ajuma Theresa Ogar, asking God to grant her eternal rest.
