Obule described the awards as a powerful validation of Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership, pragmatic governance style, and unwavering commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy across Delta State.
Speaking to journalists in Warri, the Governor’s political aide stated emphatically that the dual honours from reputable national newspapers represent more than ceremonial accolades — they are a reflection of tangible performance, accountability, and the governor’s growing national profile.
According to Obule, media recognition of this magnitude underscores the credibility and impact of Governor Oborevwori’s administration under his MORE Agenda.
“These awards are not based on sentiment; they are based on verifiable achievements,” Obule declared. “When respected national platforms like Telegraph and Leadership spotlight a governor’s performance, it confirms that the administration’s developmental strides are visible, measurable, and nationally acknowledged.”
He noted that infrastructure renewal across urban and rural communities, road construction and rehabilitation, youth empowerment initiatives, enhanced security coordination, and support for small and medium-scale enterprises have collectively repositioned Delta as a model of subnational governance in Nigeria.
Hon. Obule JP further asserted that the recognition has organically strengthened Governor Oborevwori’s political Chance ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial contest.
“In politics, perception is critical. When performance aligns with public perception and is validated by credible institutions, it naturally builds momentum,” he said. “These awards have reinforced confidence among party stakeholders, grassroots mobilizers , and the general electorates that Governor Oborevwori deserves continuity beyond 2027.”
He added that the governor’s inclusive leadership style and consultative governance approach have earned him wide acceptance across political divides, traditional institutions, youth organizations, and women groups throughout the state.
Political observers within the South-South region have described the awards as timely recognition of a leadership that has prioritized stability and strategic planning. Since assuming office, Governor Oborevwori has maintained relative political harmony, strengthened inter-agency collaboration, and pursued balanced project distribution across the three senatorial districts.
Obule JP emphasized that the governor’s ability to foster unity while accelerating development has become one of his defining attributes.
“Delta State today enjoys a climate of relative peace and coordinated development,” he noted. “The governor has demonstrated that governance is not about rhetoric but about results. That is what these awards represent.”
The SSA Political Matters stressed that in any thriving democracy, media institutions serve as watchdogs and evaluators of public leadership. Recognition from prominent newspapers, he said, carries weight because it reflects unbiased assessment rather than partisan endorsement.
“These honours amplify what Deltans already know — that the state is in capable hands,” Obule stated. “It sends a message that the administration’s efforts are being monitored and appreciated beyond our borders.”
Hon. Obule stated that Governor Oborevwori remains focused on governance rather than politics but acknowledged that performance inevitably translates into political strength.
“His Excellency is committed to deepening development, expanding opportunities, and strengthening peace in Delta State,” he said. “With recognitions like these, the foundation for 2027 is becoming stronger by the day.”
