The Iyaloja of Ikoyi, Chief Mrs. Bolanle Sanni, has urged the people of Offa in Kwara State to strengthen unity and love in their collective and individual pursuits for the continued transformation and progress of the community.
Mrs. Sanni gave the charge during the 2025 Offa Social Forum held over the weekend at the Cyprian Ekwensi Art and Culture Centre, Abuja.
Expressing her delight at being part of Offa’s cultural heritage through marriage, she emphasized the importance of preserving cultural identity. According to her, “Anywhere we are, we must not forget our cultural heritage.”
Although an indigene of Kogi State, she noted that her husband hails from Offa and encouraged Offa indigenes to teach their children their culture and identity so they can imbibe the natural virtues of their lineage.
She also offered prayers for unity among Offa people in the Abuja branch of the Offa Development Union (ODU) and across all global chapters.
The Offa Social Forum, established ten years ago, is celebrated annually to promote love, understanding, and social bonding among Offa sons and daughters residing in Abuja and beyond.
This year’s celebration saw a large turnout, with attendees adorned in colorful, uniform outfits representing different groups and associations.
