TRANSFORMATION SUPPORT INITIATIVE DIRECTOR GENERAL DRUMS SUPPORT FOR TINUBU’S REELECTION

The reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead Nigeria beyond 2027 continues to gain momentum, as witnessed on Monday, August 18, 2025, when one of the many groups backing his second-term ambition held a National Summit and World Press Conference to spotlight the administration’s achievements within its first two years.
The event, themed “Renewed Hope Agenda Through Continuity”, took place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja. Speaking to our correspondent, the Director General of the Transformation Support Initiative (TSI), Hon. Lucy Akumabor Saleh, commended the Integrity Group of Nigeria for birthing the idea of highlighting the gains of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration.
According to her, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves a second term in office to deepen reforms that have already begun yielding positive results and which, she noted, would ultimately translate to economic prosperity.
Hon. Akumabor described the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as one of the most impactful educational policies ever introduced by any Nigerian president, saying it reflects Tinubu’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of the masses and bridging the gap between the privileged and the less privileged.
> “Honestly, the NELFUND loan has helped the less privileged. With this, many young Nigerians can now go to school. It has been a serious challenge for parents, and this policy has brought great relief,” she emphasized.
She further noted that while Tinubu’s economic reforms initially resulted in hardship and inflation, Nigerians are now beginning to see a drop in the prices of commodities, stressing that the reforms were designed not just for the present but for long-term economic revival and prosperity.
Continuing, the TSI Director General declared that the need to consolidate President Tinubu’s reforms in education and the economy underscores why Nigerians should support his reelection bid.
Responding to the coalition of opposition political parties that recently adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform to challenge Tinubu in 2027, Hon. Akumabor dismissed them as no real threat. While acknowledging that some coalition leaders are notable political figures, she insisted that their collective strength cannot match that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
> “The coalition lacks the capacity to stop the Renewed Hope agenda. They are simply a group of aggrieved politicians with nothing concrete to offer Nigerians,” she stated.
She therefore urged Nigerians to massively support President Tinubu for a second term in order to ensure the continuity of the Renewed Hope agenda.
Finally, Akumabor revealed that although she was once based in the diaspora, her decision to return home was motivated by her belief in the Renewed Hope reforms. She assured that support groups such as the Integrity Group of Nigeria and the Transformation Support Initiative are ready to harmonize, strategize, and pool resources to secure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection come 2027.
