URGENT APPEAL TO KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT AND STAKEHOLDERS TO RESTORE ELECTRICITY IN KOTON KARFE

We, the residents of Koton Karfe Local Government in Kogi State, are making a desperate plea to the government to intervene and restore electricity to our community.

The theft of a critical cable wire connecting us to the national grid has plunged us into darkness, crippling economic activities and posing a significant security risk, especially as the festive season (Eid il Kabir) approaches.

The entire Local Government is currently shrouded in darkness, with local businesses and residents suffering the consequences.

While the authorities continue to investigate the theft of the critical cable wire, we appeal to our representatives across all tiers of government to take immediate action to restore electricity to Koton Karfe and environs.

We understand that the investigation is ongoing, but we cannot afford to wait any longer for the restoration of our electricity supply. With the festive season fast approaching, we are deeply concerned that the prolonged blackout will ruin our celebrations and further exacerbate the already difficult situation.

We call on our amiable and result-oriented Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, and the Renewed Hope of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take swift and decisive action to restore electricity in Koton Karfe.

The prolonged blackout has already caused significant hardship and insecurity, and further delay would only exacerbate the situation.

Yours Sincerely,
Abdulkadir Bin ABDULMALIK
Koton Karfe, Kogi State, Nigeria
