WAEC Fees: Yahaya Bello Learning Good Governance From ADC’s Abejide

By J.O. Abel-Ontop

It’s a fact that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State lacks the will to serve good governance to the people of Kogi State.

This is evident in the fact that having been in office for the past 7 years and almost 10 months, and having less than 3 months to contemptible leave the office as Governor. It is then he remembers that Kogi Secondary School Students deserves ‘free education, WAEC fees payment and zero out-of-school policy’.

Kogites, Nigerians and the whole world should recall that the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 governorship election in Kogi State, Elder Leke Abejide is responsible for the free WAEC policy being enjoyed by Yagba Federal Constituency for 6 years, a gesture which was extended to Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in 2022/23 academic session.

Elder Leke Abejide who won his 2nd term as House of Representatives member for Yagba Federal Constituency was at the verge of paying WAEC fees for all Kogi State Secondary School students when Governor Yahaya Bello as usual, used his veto power, allegedly threatened secondary principals from accepting the favor from Leke Abejide and hijacking the free WAEC payment policy.

It is on record that Governor Yahaya Bello is using the State’s funds to offer Kogites this Greek gift, in a desperation to help Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) into an undeserving victory in the Governorship election.

Where was the State Government under Governor Yahaya Bello in the past 7 WAEC that has been written by Kogi State Secondary School Students.

This idea is stolen from Leke Abejide, hence Governor Yahaya Bello is at die minutes learning antics of good governance from Leke Abejide, the ever tested and trusted political public office holder and should be enjoyed by Kogites, but they shouldn’t be carried away by it as it is a trap for Governor Yahaya Bello to install his proxy 3rd term agenda via Ododo, to continue a government of maladministration and underdevelopment.

Kogites are urged to look into the sincerity of this desperation, designed like a free WAEC project by the Government of Yahaya Bello and make sure they cast their vote for the ADC, with handshake logo 🤝, which candidates (Leke/Omede) for Governor and Deputy Governor are tested and trusted former and incumbent public office holders and in their personal business and professional respective careers.
