Wike’s Magic Beyond Trillions in FCT,

Determined to change the narration of revenue generation, payment by citizens and apathy , the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT , Barrister Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON has devised both short term and long term arrangements capable of boosting the low revenue of the FCT to trillions in recent times.
Commencing from tourism sector and spreading to other sectors of the FCT, the Minister intend to address the issue of paucity of funds and non reliability on federation account into brokering Public Private Partnerships, PPP arrangements, with major national and international organizations to achieve it’s objectives.

In partnership with major private sector driven stakeholders and government establishment like the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Creative Economy , the desire to double the income of FCT , with a view to continue to provide needed social services and infrastructure in the area of Education, Health , Social Services and Security among many others cannot be overemphasized.
Aligning with the template of the Renewed Hope Agenda, RHA of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the idea of creating a stable economy through tourism among many others will glavanize continuous development, renewal and updating of infrastructure and development in all sectors .
No doubt the ongoing partnership to develop and expand Jabi lake through the PPP arrangements was brokered recently, to avoid pilfering of revenues and leakages that was prevalent in the previous leadership.
For the FCT Minister , Barrister Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON development is a continium and meant to advance both human and structural development including all round sectors.
With high expectations and not restricted to the nation’s city , the Minister has also mandated relevant bodies and agencies in the FCT to broker further arrangements that will trigger development to the six area councils, rural areas to promote the new policy of urban- rural renewal to provide more employment opportunities in all areas and parts of the nation’s city.
With six years timeline, spread from 2026 to 2032 , the workaholic leadership under the indefatigable Minister will achieve the stead before the target going forward.

“The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has engaged a private firm to lead efforts aimed at generating ₦11 trillion from Abuja’s tourism sector by 2032.”
“The initiative, aligned with the Federal Government’s tourism development strategy, supports projections by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Creative Economy that the sector could yield trillions of naira and create millions of jobs nationwide within eight years.”
“Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the partnership will reposition Abuja and its six area councils as leading tourism and investment destinations.”
“Plans include upgrading existing attractions, developing new cultural and recreational sites, and hosting world-class events to draw both local and international visitors.”
“The Ministry says tourism could significantly boost Nigeria’s GDP, with Abuja well-placed as a central hub due to its infrastructure, hospitality facilities, and strategic location.”
“The project is also expected to create jobs, foster community participation, and preserve cultural heritage.”
“Industry stakeholders have been urged to partner with the FCTA to transform Abuja into one of Africa’s top tourism hubs”
It is obvious and germane that with the present administration under wike’s approach , no doubt achieving more trillions beyond the current target is feasible going forward.
