Lent, Ramadan: Rep Halims Donates Palliatives of 1500 Bags of Rice , 600 Bags of Beans , Others

Emphasizes The Significance of Tinubu and Ododo Continuity In 2027

By Muhammed NA, Abuja

In a rare display of compassion and unwavering loyalty to the party, the Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives who doubles as Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon (Dr.) Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has set the tone for a seamless advocacy in his bid to ensure that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo enjoy massive support across his constituency and Kogi East in general.

This was made possible through an unusual expansion of his annual Ramadan package to capture not just indigent constituents, but about sixty five support groups, fifteen coalition and tens of other union bodies across the length and breath of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency.

The representatives of Hon Halims while delivering the items noted that the gesture was a deliberate intervention to cushion the effects of the current economic realities, particularly during the solemn spiritual period of Lent and Ramadan.

The distribution exercise which was preceded by a special prayer session for Leaders at all levels was proceeded with a joyous endorsement of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State by the various groups in view of the improved livelihood their government has brought to the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, a Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Hon Haruna Abdul revealed that the best thing to have happened to Ankpa Federal Constituency is the emergence of Rt. Hon (Dr.) Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, PhD as a Principal Officer of the National Assembly adding that there is no better way of saying thank you to the APC than to massively rally round President Tinubu and Governor Ododo for a second term in office.

Earlier before the distribution exercise, the Personal Assistant on Domestic matters to the Deputy House Leader in a telephone call with his Principal which was monitored by the beneficiaries revealed that the people’s leader, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has only two appeals: continued prayers for the APC and relentless canvassing of voters during and after the Ramadan so as to institutionalise the idea of continuity as the 2027 election is beginning to build up.

He also emphasised the need for eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in political processes. He stated that “as the 2027 general elections gradually gather momentum, it is imperative that you all get ready to carry out your civic responsibilities of voting for these leaders and this can only be done when you have the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). So I encourage you all to go and obtain your PVCs as soon as possible.”

A total of about one thousand five hundred bags of rice, six hundred bags of beans and numerous food ingredients were shared to the beneficiaries who generally described the gesture as a timely succour that doesn’t only justify the confidence they have in their representative but corresponds with the ultimate teachings of Ramadan Season which is genuine charity to the less privileged. They took turns to commend the lawmaker for his generosity and consistent engagement with his people and pledged their continued support.
