Workers’ Day: MOY Pledges to Stand with Ijumu Workers, Build a More Stable Future
Hon. Musa Olumayowa Yakubu (MOY), the widely supported ADC aspirant for the Kogi State House of Assembly, Ijumu Constituency, has reaffirmed his heartfelt commitment to the welfare and economic stability of workers across all sectors.
Speaking in commemoration of Workers’ Day, MOY acknowledged the daily struggles and sacrifices of workers, especially those in Ijumu, who continue to strive for a better life despite harsh economic realities. He noted that many families depend on the strength, resilience, and dedication of these workers, making their well-being a matter that must be taken seriously.
“In every home, in every community, it is the effort of hardworking men and women that keeps hope alive,” he said. “As someone who understands these realities, I am committed to pursuing policies and opportunities that will make life more stable and rewarding for our workers.”
MOY stressed that representation is not just about occupying a seat, but about using that position to create real impact. He pledged to focus on initiatives that will open doors for job opportunities, support small businesses, and improve the overall economic environment so that workers can earn a living with dignity.
He also called for collective effort, encouraging leaders, stakeholders, and well-meaning individuals to work together in creating opportunities for the people, particularly the youth and graduates who are still searching for stable means of livelihood.
Appreciating the resilience of Ijumu workers, MOY described them as the backbone of the community, whose contributions often go unnoticed but remain invaluable. He assured them that they will always have a voice and an advocate in him.
“As we celebrate Workers’ Day, I want every worker in Ijumu to know that you are seen, you are valued, and you deserve better. Together, we will build a future where hard work truly pays,” he added.
He concluded by urging workers to remain hopeful and united, expressing confidence that with the right leadership and shared commitment, a more secure and prosperous Ijumu is within reach.
