ZENGINA NETANA ASSOCIATION, ZURU EMIRATE, ENDORSES DISTINGUISHED SENATOR GARBA MUSA MAIDOKI FOR SECOND TERM.

By Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu, Democracy Newsline – February 22, 2026.

In a powerful demonstration of unity and confidence in purposeful leadership, the Zengina Netana Association of Zuru Emirate, alongside other coalition groups in Kebbi State, has officially endorsed Distinguished Senator Garba Musa Maidoki for a second term in office.

The endorsement, announced in Kebbi State, reflects what the association described as overwhelming satisfaction with the Senator’s performance and his unwavering commitment to the development of Kebbi South and the state at large.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the Chairperson, Mrs. Martha Y. Komo, emphasized that their decision was based on Senator Maidoki’s remarkable achievements, his people-centered leadership style, and the tangible progress recorded across Kebbi South under his representation.

According to Mrs. Komo, Senator Maidoki’s tenure has been marked by meaningful interventions that have positively transformed lives. She highlighted the employment of 77 youths from Kebbi South into various federal government establishments, describing it as a bold step toward reducing unemployment and empowering young people in the district.

She further noted that beyond employment opportunities, Senator Maidoki established a humanitarian foundation dedicated to supporting the sick and the less privileged. Through this initiative, the foundation has sponsored life-saving surgeries and medical treatments for over 1,344 patients suffering from various health conditions. This intervention, she said, has restored hope to families who would otherwise have been unable to afford critical medical care.

Mrs. Komo also praised the Senator’s commitment to educational advancement. She disclosed that approximately 1,444 students across tertiary institutions, particularly within the North-West geopolitical zone, have benefited from scholarship programs sponsored by Senator Maidoki. According to her, this investment in education demonstrates his long-term vision for human capital development in Kebbi State.

On security, the association commended Senator Maidoki’s proactive role in addressing insecurity in parts of Kebbi South. Mrs. Komo referenced the establishment of a military base in the eastern part of Wasagu/Malekachi, facilitated through the Senator’s efforts. The presence of the base has significantly reduced security challenges in the area, bringing relief and renewed confidence to residents.

The association therefore urged the people of Kebbi South to continue supporting Senator Maidoki, describing his contributions to security, youth empowerment, healthcare, and education as “unmatched and deeply impactful.”

Receiving members of the association on behalf of the Senator, Hon. Dantani Ango Yalo expressed profound appreciation for their solidarity and endorsement. He reaffirmed Senator Maidoki’s continued dedication to attracting more developmental projects and opportunities to Kebbi South.

Hon. Yalo also commended the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, for his developmental strides and inclusive governance, which he said have positively impacted communities across the state, particularly in Zuru Emirate. He urged citizens to continue supporting the administration and to work tirelessly toward the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.

He further revealed that Distinguished Senator Garba Musa Maidoki has successfully sponsored and facilitated the inclusion of key developmental projects in the current national budget, following the presentation and passage of motions at the National Assembly. These projects, he assured, will further accelerate development in Kebbi South.

In a message delivered through Hon. Yalo, Distinguished Senator Garba Musa Maidoki expressed gratitude to the people of Kebbi State for their trust and continued support. He called on citizens to sustain their prayers and collective efforts, especially during this critical period, seeking divine intervention for lasting peace and an end to insecurity in Kebbi South and the entire state.

The endorsement by the Zengina Netana Association is widely seen as a strong vote of confidence in Senator Maidoki’s leadership. Political observers note that his track record in youth empowerment, healthcare interventions, educational sponsorships, infrastructure advocacy, and security support has positioned him as a central figure in the ongoing development narrative of Kebbi South.

As the political landscape gradually shapes toward the next electoral cycle, the message from Zuru Emirate is clear: the people are rallying behind a leader they believe has demonstrated capacity, compassion, and commitment to service.
