2-Year Anniversary: ARD-KSSH Praises Gov. Ododo”s Impact on Healthcare

The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Kogi State Specialist Hospital (KSSH), Lokoja, has congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his second anniversary, lauding his efforts to improve the state’s healthcare sector.
The ARD president, Dr David S. Omeiza, in a congratulatory message on Tuesday in Lokoja, commended the governor’s implementation of the Doctors’ Interventional Allowance, which aims to retain medical practitioners and attract skilled professionals to the state health system.
According to ARD, the allowance, which took effect in October 2025, has already shown positive results, with improved patient care, operational efficiencies, and public health response in state-owned hospitals.
The ARD urged Governor Ododo to continue his visionary commitment to healthcare development, citing opportunities for growth and enhancement.

The ARD looks forward to continued partnership with the Kogi State Government to establish the state as a healthcare hub.
The statement reads: “The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, under the leadership of its President, Dr. D. S. Omeiza, together with the entire membership and esteemed medical elders, extends heartfelt congratulations to the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the occasion of his second anniversary as the pragmatic Governor of Kogi State.
