2027: Ebonyi Youths Adopt Umahi Ex-aide, Nwabueze for OHANIVO Fed. Constituency
By Ben Nnabu
Thousands of Ishiagu Home-baaed youths in Ivo Local government area of Ebonyi state have declared supports for the former Special Assistant on ICT Development during former Governor David Umahi, Prince Ajah Nwabueze to contest for the Onicha/Ohaozara and Ivo Federal constituency in 2027 election.
The youths endorsed the second term bid of Governor Francis Nwifuru, highlighting his sterling performances for the past three years in office.
The leaders, Omogo Collins Egba and
Odii Thaddeus Ogwa, who spoke on behalf of the supporters noted that the gathering was a clear demonstration of confidence, trust, and belief in Nwabueze’s capacity, character, and vision for their people.
They emphasised that his aspiration was driven by service and resilience to prioritize youth empowerment, community development, and the overall progress of the Federal constituency.
According to the supporters: “today marks a significant step in our collective journey as the home-based youths of Ishiagu came together in unity to openly declare their unflinching support for the man they believe is best suited to lead, Hon Prince Ajah Nwabueze Igwe”.
“The gathering was a clear demonstration of confidence, trust, and belief in his capacity, character, and vision for our people. It is Important to Note that our leader, Prince Ajah Nwabueze has shown immense consistency in his ambition and desire to give the OhANIVO Federal constituency, an excellent representation at the National Assembly”.
“He is accessible, reliable and trustworthy and has more than what it takes to give OHANIVO quality representation. It could be recalled that for the past four general elections, Prince Nwabueze had been tipped for the same federal constituency position, but was asked to step down, which he obeyed without hesitation”.
“It is thereby equitable and morally compelling that a man who has shown such loyalty and financial sacrifices should be favourably considered to fly the ticket of the All Progressives Congress for OHANIVO federal constituency”.
“We therefore appeal to our party stakeholders especially the former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim; Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi and indeed all APC stakeholders to support the clamour for equity, justice and fairness”.
The supporters further noted that their declaration was also a clarion call for Nwabueze to make himself available to contest for the position, stressing that the 2027 ambition would not end like previous attempts.
