Adagwom Kaze Inyam: Celebrated by AYM as District Head of Dong.
It was a celebration galore and the gathering of various Ethnic Groups in Plateau state and Beyond, as the Afizere Youth Movement ( AYM) of Dong District in Jos Izere Chiefdom of Jos North LGA,came out in numbers rolling their drums in grant style to celebrate their paramount ruler,Adagwom Kaze Inyam over his elevation and presentation of Certificate as the substantive District Head of Dong.
The Appointment was on the 2-2-2023 and the presentation of the certificate was on the 23-5-2023.
Until his appointment, Adagwom Kaze has being the Acting District Head since the creation of the District, by the then Administration of Governor Joshua Chibi Dariye.
The celebration and presentation of the Royal seat to the chief was perform by Adagwom Peter Inyam, Chairman of District Heads of Jos Izere Chiefdom and the District Head of Tudun Wada(Gyese).
The former Speaker of Plateau state,Rt. Hon. Peter Ajang Azi commended the Youth and the entire Dong Community for the Unity and urge them to sustain the tempo and give peace a chance.
According to him,it is only in the atmosphere of peace that development will come.
The Operation Safe Haven sector three Commander, was represented by Lieutenant S. Lawal said he is overwhelmed with the joy and happiness showcase by the people and dancing with one another.
The Commander also crave for support from the members of the community.
According to him,their coming to the area is to sustain peace in the community.
The various Ethnic Groups that are resident in Dong were not also left behind,they came out in en-mass and paid homage to the Para Ruler .
They include the Fulani,Pan, Mwagavul,Ngas,Taroh, Irigwe among others.
The event was spice the dancing of famous Izere Asharwa dancers,Amata and Irigwe dancers.
Other dignitaries that grace the occasion are Mrs Theresa Azi,former Management Committee Chairman of Jos North LGA,Mrs Abus Ibrahim , Permanent Secretary Civil service commission.Various Groups took their turns to pay homage to the traditional Ruler.
The Chief later received blessings from the Elders of the community.
The Traditional Ruler commended his subjects for their peaceful co existence.
Dong District is One of the Nine Districts that made up Jos Izere Chiefdom.
