Adakeke Hails Yahaya Bello’s APC Senatorial Ticket Victory, Predicts Landslide in 2027
The Secretary of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Alhassan Salisu Adakeke, has congratulated former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, on his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Kogi Central Senatorial District.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Monday, Adakeke described Bello’s victory at the APC primary election as “well-deserved” and a clear indication of what he called an impending “political tsunami” ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to him, the overwhelming support recorded during the primaries reflects the confidence and loyalty Bello continues to enjoy among party members and supporters across Kogi Central.

“Your Excellency, sir, let me join your numerous well-wishers and massive supporters across Kogi Central in extending my heartfelt congratulations and solidarity on your well-deserved victory at the APC senatorial primary,” Adakeke stated.
“This landslide victory is a sign of the overwhelming mandate that awaits you in the 2027 general election. The people have spoken loudly through the primaries, and their support will only grow stronger in the months ahead.”
He commended Bello for what he described as years of commitment and service to the people of Kogi State, noting that such sacrifices would continue to attract divine favour and political success.
“For standing with the people throughout your political journey, Almighty Allah, who rewards every sincere effort, will continue to guide and elevate you. I believe the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is prepared for your wealth of experience, leadership capacity, and vision,” he added.
Adakeke also offered prayers for Bello’s political future, expressing confidence that no obstacle would derail his ambition.
“In your journey, no challenge shall be insurmountable, and no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Those plotting frustration and disappointment shall not succeed, by the grace of Almighty Allah,” he said.
The SUBEB secretary further extended congratulations to other APC senatorial candidates who emerged victorious in their respective districts, including Elde Joseph Amen Erico of Kogi East and Sunday Karimi of Kogi West.
He urged APC members across the state to remain united ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Permit me to also congratulate our brothers from Kogi East and Kogi West senatorial districts on their successful outings at the primaries. Let me also appeal to others who couldn’t make list to continue to work towards strenghting the system. He noted that, the grandstanding of a few who failed the exercise will will only picture them as ungrateful elements of the system.Together, we are stronger, and together we shall continue to move the APC forward in Kogi State and beyond,” Adakeke said.
