TRUEPOINTNEWS ABUJA- African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced a 90-day nationwide membership mobilisation, revalidation and registration exercise as part of preparations for its forthcoming internal party activities.
The party also approved provisional dates for its congresses and the election of delegates at the polling unit, ward and local government levels.
According to circulars issued by the National Secretary of the party, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the congresses are expected to hold between January 20 and January 27, 2026. The process will culminate in a Non-Elective National Convention scheduled for February 2026 in Abuja.
The ADC said the decisions were reached at a meeting of its National Working Committee (NWC) held on November 27, 2025.
In a statement released on Saturday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, explained that the activities were approved in line with the resolutions of the NWC and in strict compliance with the relevant provisions of the party’s constitution.
The membership exercise is aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots base and ensuring an updated and credible membership register ahead of the congresses and national convention.
