By Nelson Ogbu
The Akume 4 Tinubu Support Group 2027 has recorded a major boost following a courtesy visit to the wife of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mrs. Queen Zainab Ngohemba Akume, who formally aligned with the movement and accepted to serve as its Grand Matron.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Akume described the group as a unique platform distinguished by its unity across religious and ethnic lines. She noted that the presence of Christians, Muslims, and diverse tribes within the group reflects a strong foundation capable of driving national cohesion.
Expressing confidence in its long-term relevance, she said the group has the capacity to outlive the current administration due to its inclusive nature and clear sense of purpose. She pledged to support its activities and contribute meaningfully toward achieving its set objectives.
Mrs. Akume also commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that ongoing efforts to transform the nation justify a second term in office. She added that any organization working toward that goal deserves encouragement and support.
Earlier, the delegation, comprising seasoned politicians, technocrats, and religious leaders, was led by the National Coordinator, Ambassador Christie Mlan. The group reiterated its commitment to mobilizing support nationwide ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
While expressing confidence in the electoral strength of the All Progressives Congress (APC), members said they would not take victory for granted. They likened their strategy to that of soldiers on a mission, determined to canvass support across the country to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election, particularly through coordinated efforts in the North-Central under the leadership of Senator George Akume.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a gift to Mrs. Akume in appreciation of her acceptance of the Grand Matron role and her support for the group’s vision.
