Bala Bawa Bodinga Takes Over As Commandant Kwara State NSCDC, Warns Criminal Elements to Steer Clear of Kwara State

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has officially welcomed Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, fcism, FiCGPA, as the 15th Substantive State Commandant.
His deployment to Kwara State was approved by the Commandant General of the Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, as part of ongoing strategic efforts to strengthen operational effectiveness across State Commands.
Commandant Bodinga is a seasoned, gallant, and highly accomplished officer who has held several key operational and administrative positions across the country.
He served as State Commandant in Kebbi, Jigawa, and Kano State Commands respectively, where he provided strategic leadership and enhanced operational efficiency. He also served as National Arm Commander, Special Forces, at the National Headquarters, Sauka, Abuja, demonstrating exceptional tactical competence and command capacity at the national level.
Speaking shortly after assuming office, Commandant Bodinga issued a strong warning to criminal elements, vandals, and economic saboteurs to steer clear of Kwara State.
He emphasized that the Command under his leadership will not tolerate acts of vandalism, destruction of critical national assets, illegal mining, pipeline vandalism, or any form of criminality.
He further maintained that,
“Kwara State is not and will not be a safe haven for criminals. Those who choose to engage in vandalism or sabotage of government infrastructure will face the full weight of the law. We are fully prepared, operationally and strategically, to deal decisively with offenders.”
He further assured law-abiding residents of the State of the Corps’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, and strengthening intelligence-driven operations.
Commandant Bodinga also pledged to deepen collaboration with sister security agencies, traditional institutions, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders to enhance peace and security across the State.
The NSCDC Kwara State Command therefore calls on members of the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that will aid in combating crime.
