Barr. Izang Aware Pledges Transformation in Jos East
Barr. Izang Aware, a legal practitioner and former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Jos Branch, has expressed interest in becoming Chairman of Jos East Local Government Area.
He describes Jos East as “one of the most favoured local governments by God” due to its natural environment and resources.
In an interview, Aware outlined his priorities: education, infrastructure, agriculture, and social activities.

He vows to declare a state of emergency in education and infrastructure, citing poor roads and lack of sporting facilities. He’ll promote private-public partnerships for road development and provide dams for dry-season farming.
Aware also plans to engage NGOs and international organizations to boost tourism and preserve cultural heritage.
He urges Jos East residents to live in peace, report suspicious activities, and support his bid for chairman. “We are determined to leave a legacy,” he said.
