Barr. Raphael Lewu to Receive Business Leadership Award on August 19 in Abuja
ABUJA — The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Capitalfield Investment Group Limited, Lagos, Barrister Raphael Lewu, has been selected to receive the ‘Business Leadership Award 2026’ at the 16th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony organized by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 19th August, 2026 at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja. It will mark the 27th Anniversary of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria.
According to the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, the award recognizes Barr. Lewu’s outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s financial services sector, investment banking, asset management, and job creation.
“Barrister Raphael Lewu has demonstrated visionary leadership and professionalism in growing Capitalfield Investment Group into one of Nigeria’s leading investment firms,” Chief Femi said. “His commitment to ethical practices, innovation and youth empowerment continues to set a standard for business leadership in the country.”
The theme of this year’s lecture is “Economic Reform, Democracy and Sustainable Development: The Nigerian Example.” The ceremony will also feature the Induction of distinguished Nigerians into the Good Governance Hall of Fame.
Under Barr. Lewu’s leadership, Capitalfield Investment Group has expanded its portfolio in wealth management, corporate finance, and capital market operations, while driving financial inclusion initiatives across Nigeria.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include government officials, captains of industry, traditional rulers, and civil society leaders.
The organizers said the awards are designed to celebrate individuals whose leadership has positively impacted governance, democracy, and sustainable economic development in Nigeria.
Barr. Lewu is expected to deliver a goodwill message at the ceremony and will be presented with a plaque and citation in honor of his achievements.
